    Directions

Recipe Shirin's step-by-step recipe for a fantastic Celery Stew.

    Step 1

    INGREDIENTS: ☑️ 1 small onion ☑️ 3 tsp salt ☑️ 1 tsp black pepper powder ☑️ 450g beef/lamb/chicken ☑️ 100g fresh parsley ☑️ 700g celery ☑️ 4 tbsp dried mint / 100g fresh ☑️ 1 tbsp dried lime OR 1 lime/lemon ☑️ 5 tbsp oil

    Step 2

Fry 450g cube-sized sliced beef, lamb, or chicken with 1 tbsp oil in a pot until golden. Add water, black pepper and onion and cook it for one hour over medium heat. If you are making this stew with chicken, then only fry it.

    Step 3

    Wash and slice 700g celery.

    Step 4

In a pan over medium-high heat, add 4 tbsp oil and fry the sliced celeries until golden.

    Step 5

Add celery leaves, 100g parsley, 4tbsp dried mint, 3tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1tbsp dried lime. You can use one fresh lime juice but add it in the last 5 minutes of the cooking process.

    Step 6

Add cooked beef/lamb or fried chicken. Then put a lid on and cook it over medium heat for 45-60 minutes.

    Step 7

    Serve and enjoy!
